Tachometer, instrument cluster and Gauge Repairs

We deal with OEM and VDO instrumentation and VDO gauges. Cars, Boats, motorcycles and custom applications are our specialties.

When an instrument cluster is received at Speedometer Services for repairs it is thoroughly checked out before repairs are implemented.

1. An overall assessment of the cluster is made, inspecting the condition of the circuit board to ensure good contacts.

2. Then the instrument cluster is disassembled, cleaned, and inspected. All loose dust and dirt removed.

3. A complete evaluation is made and recorded, and the faulty item is repaired/replaced.

4. A complete bench test is performed with an appropriate electronic or mechanical burn time performed.

At the completion of all repairs the instrument face plates are cleaned and polished. If the cluster lens was sent the faceplate will also be cleaned and polished to remove all surface scratches and distortions. All repairs are then listed and the instrument cluster is carefully packaged for shipment.
